Williams SOMBO has been a lawyer at the Côte d’Ivoire Bar since 2015. For over ten years, he has advised a diverse clientele of both local and international businesses and individuals.
As a co-founding partner of the firm, he heads both the Criminal Division of the Litigation Department and the English-speaking Foreign Investment Division of the Corporate / M&A - Finance - Tax Department.
Williams practices across various areas of business law, with a particular focus on corporate law, sports law, and oil and gas transactions. He acts as legal advisor to several football clubs and is also a licensed professional sports agent.
He has recognized expertise in criminal law and white-collar crime litigation, and also coordinates the firm’s public relations.
Williams is fluent in both French and English, enabling him to handle cross-border and international matters effectively.
He holds a Master’s degree in Private Law (Judicial Careers option) from Université des Lagunes (Abidjan), an LL.M. from PACE University (New York), and a Certificate in Renewable Energy from the Borough of Manhattan Community College (New York). He is also a certified sports agent lawyer, having completed training at EDHEC Business School (Paris).

Bérenger Awanan is a lawyer admitted to the Côte d’Ivoire Bar with over fifteen years of experience in legal advisory. He is a co-founding partner of SKAA and heads the firm’s Corporate / M&A – Finance – Tax department.
A specialist in corporate law, he advises both domestic and international companies on transactional and contentious matters, with a focus on the banking and finance, trade, transportation, and real estate sectors. He regularly supports investors in structuring and securing their operations in Côte d’Ivoire and across the OHADA region.
His recognized expertise in contract law and commercial agreements allows him to assist clients on complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions. He also advises on banking and financial law as well as public economic law.
Bérenger Awanan holds a Master’s degree in Business Law and Taxation and is currently pursuing a Master’s in International Management and Trade at the IAE of Université Lyon 3 (France).
In addition to his legal practice, he serves as Deputy Director of the Professional Training Center for Lawyers of Côte d’Ivoire (CFPA-CI), and is First Vice President and Scientific Director of the International “Génies OHADA” Competition.

Maître Guy-Serge Alexandre AKE is a lawyer admitted to the Bar of Côte d’Ivoire. He practices across several key areas of law, both in advisory and litigation matters.
He advises a diverse client base, including Ivorian and international companies as well as public and institutional entities. He has developed strong experience in the real estate and land sector, telecommunications, and banking, with recognized expertise in debt recovery, particularly through property seizure proceedings.
Before joining SKAA, he worked at several leading Ivorian law firms, where he gained deep insight into the legal, economic, and institutional environment of Côte d’Ivoire and the broader OHADA region.
Alongside his legal practice, he lectures in business law at various private universities in Côte d’Ivoire and regularly speaks as a trainer and conference presenter for the initial and continuing legal education of lawyers in the country.
He holds a Master’s degree in Private Law – Business Careers from the University of Cocody (Abidjan), a Master’s in Financial Engineering Law from the Université des Lagunes, and the Certificate of Aptitude for the Legal Profession (CAPA). Stéphane holds a master’s degree in law with a specialization in Business Law from the University of Cocody (Abidjan), and a professional arbitration diploma from CERFOPMAN at the Catholic University of West Africa (UCAO), Abidjan campus.
Committed to promoting business law in Africa, he serves as Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the international moot court competition “Génies en Herbe OHADA”, an annual advocacy event dedicated to law students from OHADA member states.
